Case Management / Workers' Compensation

Caring for patients who have been injured on the job is one of our areas of expertise. South Bend Orthopaedics’ physicians and professional staff understand that it’s imperative for injured workers to recover fully and return to work as sooworkers compensation indianan as possible. Workers’ Compensation Program

work injury experts indianaOur work injury experts will partner with the case manager and employer to diagnose and treat the patient’s condition efficiently and cost effectively. Our highly experienced Workers’ Compensation staff ensures clear communication and work as liaisons for all worker’s comp patients. This allows us to be more attentive to the needs of the patient and facilitate quick and thorough documentation during the recovery.  As a result, employees get back to work quickly and dramatically reduce the chance of reinjury.

We provide:

  • In-house case management if requested.

  • One central contact for patients, employers, nurse case manager and insurance adjusters.

  • Work Status Reports completed at time of appointment.

  • Electronic notes from office visits are available the day of appointment, and dictated notes are available within 48 hours.

  • Translation services for all languages, including hearing impaired, are available for all office visits.

Nurse Case Managers are welcome to attend appointments with patients. We put patient care first and are cognizant of the need to keep employers, insurance carriers, and case managers informed of treatment and progress. Rehabilitation Therapy Services

Our comprehensive industrial therapy program is results oriented, with injured workers returning to their jobs quickly and safely. This results in the reduction of workers’ compensation and lost-time costs.

Our highly qualified therapists and ergonomic specialists provide expert treatment for work-related injuries. Our professional staff is well trained with solid testing skills, manual therapy expertise, and ergonomic certifications. We work closely with each individual, using an interdisciplinary approach that is tailored to the specific needs of the injured worker. SBO emphasizes return-to-work strategies and encourages communication among employees, employers, case managers and insurance companies.
