DME Coordinator(Office Medical Assistant, Athletic Trainer [ATC], Ortho/Cast Tech, Physical Therapy Tech)
The DME Coordinator at South Bend Orthopedics oversees the daily program operations for their assigned site(s), including inventory tracking and analysis, brace fitting, documentation management, and charge entry. Responsible for providing superior customer service and onsite orthopedic bracing and supply program management. This position will also be responsible for fitting orthopedic bracing and supplies and educating patients about the product's usage. Gather, track, and organize the necessary paperwork to facilitate insurance billing of their assigned site(s).

Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner- Walk-In Clinic
South Bend Orthopaedics is looking for a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work in our well-established walk-in clinic. SBOrthoNow is an immediate orthopedic care clinic that provides same-day walk-in care for a wide range of orthopedic injuries including Sprains / Strains, Minor Dislocations, Fractures / Broken Bones, Sports Injuries, Torn Ligaments / Injured Tendons, Cast or Splint Issues, Painful or Swollen Joints, Workers’ Comp Injuries, Other Musculoskeletal Injuries.
Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner
South Bend Orthopaedics is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our practice and work alongside Dr. James Sieradzki. Dr. Sieradzki specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and joint replacement surgery. Dr. Sieradzki is also the Team Physician for Notre Dame Hockey and Notre Dame Lacrosse. This position would work in 1-to-1 model and share time between assisting in surgery and running a clinic practice.
Patient Registration Specialist
Full-Time. Carmichael. Responsible for coordinating services for patient registration including greeting patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, co-pays and communicating with other departments.
Surgery Scheduler
Full-Time. Responsible for scheduling patient surgery and spinal injection appointments in an efficient and timely manner. Books, coordinates, and reschedules patients’ surgery appointments. Relays necessary messages to staff and requests surgical clearance if necessary. Greets patients in a prompt and pleasant manner. Verifies necessary information and records in the medical record. Maintains and updates current information on physician’s schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly, and appointments are confirmed. Answers phones, messages, and provides information to patients and providers.
Test Scheduler
Full-Time. This position is responsible for scheduling/screening for ordered tests, MRI scans and minor procedures. Schedules test appointments for patients, follow-ups, and test results appointments.
Physical Therapist- $2,500 Sign-On Bonus!
Full-Time, Carmichael. Responsible for providing patient care including assessing, interpreting, planning, and implementing special physical therapy treatments. Previous outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine backgrounds preferred. NEW GRADS WELCOME!
Contact Center Agent
Full-Time, Elm. Responsible for answering, transferring, and screening all calls in a timely manner and directing them to the appropriate destination. Schedules and cancels patient appointments. Provides support to patients and/or designated caregivers regarding upcoming appointments, enters messages pertaining to patient care. Requires excellent customer service skills including the ability to communicate concisely with patients as well as staff. Previous experience with a multi-line telephone system and ability to type 50 wpm with a high degree of accuracy.
Surgery Scheduling Support Specialist
Full-Time. Utilizing excellent customer service and communication skills, answers incoming phone calls to the surgery scheduling department, either answering the questions, taking messages or routing call to appropriate parties.
Accounting Assistant
Full-Time. This person is responsible for assisting the accounting department with daily functions- including posting and processing of account transactions. Accounts Payable, assists in balancing and posting information in general ledger, daily registration batches, deposit and record miscellaneous income, scans all paid invoices and other accounting documents, etc. Must have 3-4 years of accounting experience.
Scheduling Float
Full-Time. Responsible for floating to the scheduling department to assist with scheduling patients for surgery or diagnostic procedures. Will also assist with scheduling/screening for diagnostic testing, MRI scans, and minor procedures/injections. Will assist scheduling with any phone calls, messages, and other duties to support the scheduling staff.
Therapy Support Specialist
Full-Time. Responsible for all office services in the physical/occupational therapy department including mobile check-ins, greeting patients, answering phones, collecting demographic and insurance information, co-pays, obtaining work comp authorizations, code research, charge entry, scheduling patients, scanning documents and communicating with other departments.
Referral Specialist
Full-Time. This position would work one-on-one with patients and insurance providers to ensure referrals are processed timely, are authorized, and patients are contact. The employee would work closely with the billing department to ensure that referral accounts are in good standing.
Medical Assistant- $1,500 Sign-On Bonus
Full-Time. Responsibilities include rooming patients & collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines; assisting physicians/physician extenders with various procedures; EMR charting; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam; relaying instructions & pertinent information to patients/families, etc.
