Dr. McGregor is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He attended The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, graduating in 2006 with degrees in pre-medicine and psychology. He was a 4-year member of the varsity hockey team. While serving as captain his senior year, he was voted third team All-American and won the National Sportsmanship award for NCAA Division-1 hockey. He was also awarded the Crusader of the Year for academic, athletic and community endeavors by the Holy Cross Varsity Club. He obtained his medical degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, MO in 2012 and completed a fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. During his extra year of fellowship training, he served on the medical team for USA track and field at both the National and World 24-hour Ultramarathon Championships He then completed residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI, part of the Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine consortium and served as chief resident his senior year. After residency, he completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at the University of Buffalo. Fellowship provided an opportunity for further experience in arthroscopic surgery, orthopedic research and care of the athlete from childhood, collegiate, professional, and the every day. Dr McGregor and his active family live in Granger. They were drawn to the Michiana area by the strength of South Bend Orthopedics as a practice, the community to raise their boys, and the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients from weekend warriors and active retirees to top level high school and collegiate athletes. Having played hockey, baseball, soccer, golf and rugby, and completed an Ironman triathlon, Dr McGregor is familiar with the demands of athletes across numerous a wide spectrum of endeavors.
